Uncompromising quality

A superb refurbishment for a medical specialist.

Overview

Dr Julie Lindstrom, Clinical Director at City Fertility Centre, relocated her rooms to a different level of the Watkins Medical Centre on Wickham Terrace. Dr Lindstrom’s commissioned architect, Maxwell Penhey, brought in Focus Fitout Specialists to deliver an exceptional fitout for the centre.

Maxwell Penhey’s design brief called for perfection – in materials, workmanship and attention to detail. Focus worked expertly with a range of superior finishes, including Italian floor coverings, stone benchtops, and stainless steel fixtures, to create an impressive and modern medical space.

Focus worked seamlessly with the architect to realise Dr Lindstrom’s vision of an aesthetically pleasing and highly functional private clinic. The result is a quality fitout that’s built to last.

Logistics

Focus project managed this fitout in conjunction with Maxwell Penhey. Along with hand selecting every sub-contractor involved, Focus was also responsible for ensuring the placement of state-of-the-art medical equipment and specialised lighting.

A major project challenge was working in a con ned space that had access from only one hallway. The co-ordination of multiple trades was difficult, especially when the composite floors (made of timber, carpet, vinyl and tiles) were being laid. Focus Fitout Solutions’ smart scheduling overcame this issue. Their approach allowed several trades to work simultaneously to ensure a seamless and aligned fitout.

Connection

A fitout of this nature required constant monitoring and communication. The project completion date was non-negotiable, with patients transferring across to the new rooms for treatment on a specific day, so there was no room for delays or hitches.

Focus has shown their versatility in handling such a specialised medical fitout so impressively.
